A Heartfeldt imprint — one room in the house
Why it's a sub-imprint. Heartfeldt is the umbrella — Sam Feldt's label plus publishing, radio, events and foundation, a broad feel-good-dance home with the yellow accent and whole-brand voice. Future Tropical is a curated lane inside it: it runs on Heartfeldt's infrastructure (distribution, publishing, radio reach, Sam's platform) but keeps a tight, single-minded identity so the sound reads as its own world. The Heartfeldt lockup + Sun Yellow pill on every asset is the parent's endorsement.
How it differs. Heartfeldt is broad; Future Tropical is narrow and strict — warm-weather house only, its own fire/night/cream release palette, all-Unbounded display type, and one controlling idea: "press play on endless summer." Heartfeldt is the guide-house; FT is the one golden-hour room in it.
The subset rule: everything Future Tropical is, is also Heartfeldt — but not everything Heartfeldt releases is Future Tropical. Heartfeldt freely puts out tracks that don't meet FT's strict brand + genre guidelines; those simply release on Heartfeldt (or another imprint), never under the FT badge. FT is a standard, not the whole catalogue.

✓Festival-scaled hook that stays breezy — energy without cheese; no novelty steel-drum or air-horn clichés.
✓Vocal-forward / strong topline — song-first, human and warm, not just a club tool.
✓Radio- & playlist-ready — premium, clean production; a ≤ ~3:30 edit exists.
✓Sam Feldt's curatorial co-sign — his release, or an artist he's personally A&R'd into the imprint.
✓Meets the FT visual convention — Heartfeldt lockup + Sun Yellow pill, golden-hour grade, Unbounded title.
✓Ladders to the controlling idea — you can say in one line how it "presses play on endless summer."
Fewer than 10 checked? It's a Heartfeldt release, not a Future Tropical one.
